She's been the highest producer for many weeks now, and she’s cute!
Tell us about your previous dairy/animal husbandry experience.
I grew up showing and judging beef cows in 4H. In high school, I began working on a sheep farm in Vermont and loved it! When I got to UNH, I began to work at Fairchild and learn more about dairy cows.
Why did you decide to do CREAM?
I chose to take CREAM so that I could expand my knowledge beyond working with animals. I’m very excited to learn about the financial/ business side of running a farm.
What are your hopes and goals for the year?
My goals for the year include increasing our cows average production and touring other farms to learn about their management practices.
What do you do when you're not in the barn?
When I’m not at the barn I like running, and drinking coffee while reading a book!
